My Summer with the Fam

My husband, Brianna, Nathan and I took a 3 week vacation to the west. We spent a week and a half in St. George, Utah (where my mom and brother's family live), a week in California (where my hubbie's family lives), and 3 days in Vegas. We had so much fun. Telegraph Hill is in the distance of this pic. We spent a day at Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf. After all of the times I've been to San Francisco, I should have learned my lesson and know that no matter what time of year it is, it is never a good idea to wear shorts in the city. We froze our butts off!

Cruise
In June, Randy and I went on a 7 day cruise to Jamica, Grand Cayman Island, and Cozumel. We had a great time.
This is in Jamica. We took a 4x4 tour that went into the mountains.
In Grand Cayman, we went to a Sea Turtle farm and swam with the sting rays.

In Cozumel, we went to Tulum to check out the Mayan ruins. This was my favorite place and picture of the trip.
Here we are at formal night.

San Antonio
All I have to say is that a 7 1/2 month old does not do so well in caves and hotel rooms. We decided to visit Natural Bridge Caverns on our way to San Antonio. All was well until we got to the bottom of the cave some 185 feet below ground. Logan decided to pitch the biggest fit he has ever had. I decided to take him out of the cave and leave Tony and Ryan to enjoy the rest of the tour. I thought they would escort me out. No, they just told me to follow the path out by myself. A bit scary to say the least. So I carried a 19 pound screaming baby up hill for 1/2 a mile in 99% humidity. I am still having nightmares of the situation. Ryan enjoyed the cave and did the zip line. The remainder of the trip went well and we got to see all the cool animals at Sea World.Thursday, July 17, 2008
I am thrilled to be joining the Schulze team this fall as Assistant Principal. This summer I traveled to Detroit, MI where my son competed in the Junior Olympics. After that we went over to Chicago for some sightseeing.
New Orlean, LA
My summer started with visit from my grandma who lives in New Jersey! While she was here my mom, grandma, and I decided to take a road trip to New Orleans, Louisiana.

We stayed in the French Quarters and did lots of shopping and tried on tons of crazy hats and masks!

I made a new friend too!
My husband and I also bought our very first house! I will have to put pictures of that up later though because my camera is not being very nice today...

I danced with my precious princess and played baseball with Matthew. Pictures of that to come.
We have been remodeling our game room...ripped up the carpet, painted the concrete and have redone the whole room! Amanda didn't know she had such a "handyman"!

New Addition to our family

We are so blessed! My little nephew Blake Joseph was born Wednesday, June 18th weighing in at 7 pounds on the dot! He was welcomed by 2 little sisters, Campbell and Addison. Campbell fell in love with him immediately! Addison decided she better get her bluff in quick and promptly slapped in the face! (very softly) She now loves him and is constantly telling us to go see baby brudder!
